Some things are not asking to be figured out. They’re asking to be surrendered.
God: I saw you spiral last night.
You: I tried to stop it.
You don’t have to ride it all the way down before you remember I’m here.

God: I know you did. I watched you fight it for hours. One thought turning into ten, ten turning into a whole story you’d already convinced yourself was true.
You: I just couldn’t make it stop.
God: You were trying to think your way out of something only trust can release. The spiral was you trying to control something you were never meant to control. It wasn’t weakness. It was fear looking for somewhere safe to land. And the only place fear actually softens is here, with me.

You: I hate when it happens.
God: I know. I’m not frustrated with you for it. I just want you to come back to me sooner. You don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted. You don’t have to ride it all the way down before you remember I’m here. Next time it starts, just say my name. That’s enough. I’ll meet you in the middle of it.
