God remains just as close on the nights you feel nothing as he does on the days your faith feels strong.
Angel: She’s alone tonight.
God: She’s not. I’ve been sitting with her.
Angel: She doesn’t feel you.
God: I know. But feeling me and being with me aren’t the same thing. I’ve been closer than she’s known this entire night.
I’ve been listening to the prayers she couldn’t put into words

Angel: She’s been crying without saying anything.
God: I’ve been catching every tear. I’ve been listening to the prayers she couldn’t put into words.
Angel: Should we send her something?
God: Send her a small comfort. Something soft. A song. A memory. A moment that reminds her she isn’t as alone as it feels tonight.

Angel: Will she recognize it as you?
God: Not right away. But one day she’ll look back at this exact night and realize I was in it. Sitting with her. Holding her. Loving her when she couldn’t feel it.
