God Is Preparing You For What You’ve Been Praying For

Someone else’s answered prayer is not proof that God skipped over yours. You don’t have to watch everyone else’s life unfold and wonder what it says about your own. Their turn does not take anything away from what God is still preparing for you.

God: I know you’re wondering when it’s your turn.

You: Everyone else is getting what I’ve been praying for.

God: I know. And I see how hard that is for you. But their timeline isn’t your timeline. Their blessing isn’t your blessing. What I have for them isn’t what I have for you.

You: So when do I get my happy ending, God?

I’m making you wait to protect you and to protect what I’m bringing

Jacqueline Whitney

God: When you’re ready for it. When the foundation is strong enough to hold it. When you’ve become the person who can steward it without losing yourself in it.

You: I feel like I’ve been ready for so long.

God: You’re closer than you think. But if I gave it to you six months ago, you would’ve treated it the same way you treated what hurt you. I’m not making you wait to punish you. I’m making you wait to protect you — and to protect what I’m bringing.

You: So it’s still coming?

God: It’s still coming. And when it does, you’ll understand why it had to be now and not then. Your turn is coming. Trust me.
