God Remembered A Beginning When You Grieved An Ending

The day you remember as your greatest loss may be the day God remembers as your greatest act of trust. Sometimes we’re mourning what ended while he’s celebrating the moment everything finally began to change

God: I need to tell you what I saw that day.

You: Which day?

God: The day you keep replaying. The one you think ruined everything.

You: I don’t know how to stop thinking about it.

You’re grieving an ending, I’m remembering a beginning

God: I know. Every time you go back there, you only look at what you lost. You replay the conversation, the goodbye, the opportunity that slipped away, and you wonder what you could have done differently. But that’s not what I remember about that day.

You: Then what do you remember?

God: I remember watching you make one of the hardest decisions of your life, even though it broke your own heart. I remember you refusing to become someone you weren’t just to keep what was never meant to stay. I remember how devastated you were, but I also remember something you couldn’t see at the time. That was the day you stopped building your life around something that couldn’t carry the weight of your future.

You: It still feels like the day everything fell apart.

God: I know it does. But I never saw it as the day your life unraveled. I saw it as the day your life finally had room to become what I’d always intended it to be. You’re grieving an ending. I’m remembering a beginning.
