The Closed Door Theory: What If God Was Protecting You, Not Rejecting You?

Maybe the closed door wasn’t keeping you from your future. Maybe it was protecting it.

What if the “no” you’re still crying over was actually the loudest

“I love you” God has ever spoken to you?

He didn’t block you; he shielded you.

– Jacqueline Whitney

We often view a closed door as a rejection or a sign that we’ve failed, but the theory is this:

God didn’t lock that door to keep you from your joy; he locked it because he saw what was on the other side. He saw the way that path would have eventually broken your heart or stunted your growth. He didn’t block you; he shielded you.

He didn’t reject you; he redirected you towards a room that can actually hold the person you are becoming.

Stop trying to pick a lock that God intentionally broke, and trust that if he closed that door, it’s because he is protecting a promise you can’t see yet.
