Letting go isn’t only grieving the person you lost. Sometimes it’s grieving the future you thought you were going to have. Trust that if God asked you to release it, it’s because he has something far more certain waiting for you.
God wants you to hear this today —
I know it’s been hard to let them go, but I want you to consider something. Maybe what you’ve been grieving isn’t only the person. Maybe you’ve also been grieving the future you imagined with them.
It will be built on certainty, not possibility
Jacqueline Whitney
The conversations you thought you’d have, the life you pictured, and the version of them you kept believing would eventually meet you where you were. Sometimes the hardest part of moving on isn’t releasing who someone was. It’s releasing who you hoped they would become.

That’s why I don’t want you to confuse potential with promise. Love was never meant to keep you waiting for someone to become ready to choose you. The future I have for you won’t require you to convince someone to meet you there. It will be built on certainty, not possibility. So let yourself release what could have been. I can do far more with what’s ahead than you ever could with what you’re still trying to hold onto.
