The Path May Be Lonely, But You Are Never Alone

A quieter path doesn’t always mean a wrong one. Sometimes following God means becoming comfortable walking differently, knowing you’re never actually walking alone.

You: Why does following you feel so lonely sometimes?

God: Because not everyone is willing to walk where I’m leading you.

Sometimes loneliness isn’t a sign you’ve lost your way

You: I thought following you would mean I’d never feel alone.

God: No. It means you’ll never actually be alone. Those are different things.

You: I don’t always know the difference.

God: I know. There will be seasons where the path I ask you to walk is quieter than the one everyone else is on. Some people won’t understand the boundaries you’re setting, the doors you’re walking away from, or the direction I’m leading you. That can feel lonely.

You: So I’m not doing something wrong?

God: No. Sometimes loneliness isn’t a sign you’ve lost your way. It’s a sign you’re learning to stay close to me before you look to anyone else. And wherever I lead you – I’ll always be there too.
