Sometimes the hardest part of letting go isn’t losing what was. It’s trusting there will still be something beautiful after it. Close the door anyway. God knows what waits on the other side of your surrender.
God: I keep asking you to close that door.
You: I know.
God: But you keep leaving it cracked. Just in case. Just enough to hear from them again if they change their mind. Just enough to walk back through if the new one takes too long to open.
You: I’m scared to fully let it go.
ou just can’t see it yet from where you’re standing

God: I understand. That door is familiar. What’s behind it hurt, but it’s also comfortable. Closing it feels final, and final feels scary. But the door I have written for you can’t fully open while you’re still holding the last one open.
You: What if I close it and nothing comes next?
God: That’s not how I work. I don’t ask you to close doors so you can stand in an empty hallway. I ask you to close them because the next one is ready. You just can’t see it yet from where you’re standing.

You: Okay. I’ll close it.
God: Not just close it. Really let it be closed. And then turn around. What I’ve been preparing for you has been waiting all along. Trust me.
